Happy 19 months

My baby turns 19 months today.

The little miss curious. She's curious about everything, especially when we are out and about. Stressful when we are instores as she just swipes and pulls stuff. Learning stuff quickly too. And the mammy always "teach" her the weird stuff. "Alamak" with the hand on her head and saying "mak" and yesterday she learnt "aiyoyo" and laughed at how funny the word sounded. We have to be careful of what we say in front of the kids. They learn really fast.

Same problems as the last and the previous x months. Josie needs to eat more. There are improvements, but not gaining weight, which got the doc worried at her 18mth da.

Last month she had hives which got us worried as we didn't know what that was. She is still having it on and off especially in this heat. Sometimes they weren't itchy, but some were so itchy that she had such bad scratches from her vigorous scratching. The spots always change location and will disappear then reappear again. Heartache.

Love you baby. Jiayou!

The Scary Trio

Today's amazing encounter.

We were on our way down for the usual morning walk. So we were waiting for the lift and standing like 3-4 steps away. Latte was stoning behind me and not doing his usual sniffing around. Then I realise Josie was too near the lift, so i bend forward to take her hand to pull her nearer too me. At the same moment, the lift door open.

Then the person inside the lift screamed. 不要进来! (don't come in)

I looked up and saw an elderly woman pointing her umbrella at us like we are some robbers. 你们不要进来! 我的心在跳! (You all don't come in! My heart is beating!)

Feeling the anger rising up. I told her 我们没有要进去。你下去。(We are not getting in. Go down. ) and she closed the door and went off.

Usually we will take the next lift when we see people inside. I didn't even have time to see if there's anyone inside and she was screaming away. And today Latte was such a good boy, not in a chionging mode when the door open. None of us were moving when the door open. At most is me pulling Josie to my side.

We took the next lift down and upon reaching downstairs, she was complaining about us to someone. I don't know what she told him/her/them, I only heard her say 我的心在跳 (My heart was beating). Sigh. Most probably we were thought of the worst by her listener.

Annoyed, I took the kids away to the other direction opposite of her. Then after one round. She was still seated at our block's bench. Then she shouted in cantonese which I don't understand what she said. We were outside of the block, next to the road, so we were pretty far away from her. Too far for Latte to do anything to her. I just smiled, ignored and continued with what we need to do.

Annoyed ttm!! Kenna complained for waiting for a lift. Arrgh.

Anyway it's not the first time we encountered such exaggerated reactions. Mainly women.

I am glad Latte has no aggression towards umbrellas. I can't imagine what would had happen. And I hope Josie doesn't understand what had happened. Negative teaching.

Sighs. Really. What's so scary about this big nose baby?

Happy Mother's Day!

My second mother's day with the little girl. Thankful to be her mom, thankful to be my mom's daughter.

Dinner out with my mom and my family. As usual, it's the zichar nearby. We managed to get a table, but the wait for the food was...... Waiting and waiting. And it was soooo sweating hot.

The hubbs drove me to get cakes earlier on before dinner. I had been meaning to eat the cakes from Châteraisé for a long time. They have such pretty and cute cakes! And they are delicious! Soft, fluffy, yummy.

It's another commercialised day. The hubby bought a gift. A new camera that's waterproof and shock resistant. Good to use around a toddler lol. Love the hubbs who can "read" my mind. I need something like for the little girl's swimming sessions.

It has a very rugged feel. I guess that's what it needs to give an all rounded protection.

Happy mother's day to all mothers.

Sakae Sushi $15++ 60mins buffet

My 4th time stuffing myself with sushi and sashimi with this promotion from Sakae Sushi. This promotion had been ongoing for quite some time. Since last year I think.

It's valid on weekdays, between 3 to 6 pm, $15++ per pax and you can eat anything off the conveyor belt for 60minutes. Red, pink, colored plates. If you eat sashimi, it's really worth it. Then it's my first time from the staff that every additional 15 minutes, $5 will be charged. Hmmz.

Josie had a little (really very little) more sushi than the previous times.

Our accomplishments. Not as crazy as our first time though. We only had 19 red, 19 colored and 2 pink for 5 adults. Our first attempt was over 30 red and a few colored for 3 adults. My record. Lol.

For more information, check out Sakae's website: http://www.sakaesushi.com.sg/buffet.html

Walking the day

Today, I hit a milestone. Lol. My milestone not Josie's. We went out almost the whole day today. And she walked most of the time, without the use of carrier or pram. New achievement lol.

I did bring along the carrier but it had been strapped to my bag the whole day. I held her hand and walked from home to where we needed to go. Carrying her for a short while whenever needed by my little girl.

I am pretty reliant on my carriers ever since she was born whenever we go out. Even for those times we go out with my hubby or with a pram, I still bring along a carrier. I cannot imagine going out with any carriers. But it's good to see that she can and able to walk alongside me and we can cross hurdles (literally) together.

Jiayou!

Mango Milk Popsicle

The weather is melting us everyday. It's so hot that I sweat even when bathing.

My mother bought me mangoes a few days back. While eating, I was thinking of using part of it to make popsicle for my lo.

She seldom eat such cold stuff. And she doesn't like texture that get stuff stuck to her hands lol. So much for blw huh.

Anyway, she doesn't really like the popsicle. But she kept wanting to put in her mouth. I guess the coldness is just too much. She was ok to eat the mango milk like a dessert with a spoon. Haha.

It's still consider a success! Guess next time, I can skip the freezing part if she still doesn't like the cold.

Recipe:
Really simple. Mango and milk to your desired amount and freeze overnight. Works for any fruits and liquid.

Hong Kong 2016

We are back from our 5D4N trip to Hong Kong. We had fun. The weather there was rainy, with 3 days raining the whole day, including the day we were in Disneyland.

We took the SQ return flight to HK. Josie is considered an infant (0-2) so she is not allocated a seat and sat on our lap. Initially we were thinking of resting the first part of the flight when she nap after take off like the previous trips. We were wrong. She stayed awake the entire flight. Gosh. And she woke up at 4+am in the morning!! Sighs. My tired baby.

Our meals in flight. Carrot cake for breakfast. Pretty nice, just a little spicy. We don't really take spicy, that's why.

Josie's baby meal. She didn't eat much though. But she had eaten the bread from our tray. Haha...

We had lunch when we reached HK airport. Expensive lunch. Taste not too bad but... Expensive lol.

After checking into the hotel and taking a short break, we headed to Tsim Sha Tsui. First... Jenny's cookies. Not very difficult to find. There are loads of fake Jenny's cookies all around in the same building. Faint. Have to go to the one with queues. The queue wasn't that bad. Lots of people bought alot and stashing them in empty luggages. We only gotten a few for family and ourselves. Sorry friends....

Josie fell asleep when I was queuing, so we took a Starbucks break. Lol.

We went window shopping in the malls around TST, as it was raining and there are just more malls than shops that are more interesting haha...

Will update more progressively.
