I had recently redeemed a sample kit from Etude House. 

I kind of "won" it when I participated in the LINE contest. There are alot of contests happening on LINE and I never seem to be able to win anything. In this case Etude House collaborated with LINE for its giveaway. 

My first ever "Congratulations" after participating in so many contests. I always get a "You're so smart & got it right! But too bad, someone have a better luck & won ...... " Lol. Tough luck. 

For this giveaway, I'm able to choose between these two sample kits. And I chose WONDER PORE pecial WOW Kit. I have very concerning large pores T___T

The WONDER PORE is the range of products on Etude House's highlight, displayed right at the entrance of the shop. This range has very pretty packaging. But then again, korean brand skincare/cosmetics are usually this pretty.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleansing Oil

Everyday we put on skincare products and makeup on our skin. Especially to protect our skin from the harsh sun and environment. At the end of the day, we also need to take care of our skin when we remove all the makeup and skin care, letting our skin take a breather.

How about a one step cleansing oil that removes makeup, cleanse and nourishes the skin, for us busy bees?

Neutrogena recently launched two new deep clean cleansing oils to the Deep Clean range of cleansers, that removes makeup and deep cleans with skin hydrating and brightening benefits. They are the Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and the Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil.

So how do we use the cleansing oils? It is recommended to apply to dry face using dry hands.

Pump out the desired amount and massage the cleansing oil in circular motion gently on the skin. The skin will be shiny and watery. I love the smell of Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil, kind of made me feel hungry for some fruits. Haha =D

Then add water to emulsify. As both cleansing oils are formulated with a non-comedogenic micro-emulsion, adding water will transform the cleansing oil into soft cleaning milk. Amazing~

Then wash away with lukewarm water, though I just used room temperature water.

My skin feels soft, moisturised, clean and looks brighter after cleansing.

The Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil quenches my dry skin's thirst by providing me the moisture after the deep cleansing routine.

The Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil brightened up my dull complexion, giving me a radiant look, especially after a long day out.

The Deep Clean Cleansing Oils are dermatologist tested and they do not clog pores. That's great news for me, as I always get clogged pores resulting in bad acne. The cleansing oils are mineral-oil free that gives us cleaner skin while not washing away our skin's natural oils.

The Bio Aqua Crystal Technology is so amazing. Massaging the Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask onto the skin really forms water droplets on the face. My face feels very hydrated immediately upon application. And this lightweight Sleeping Mask does not leave any greasy and sticky feeling. It just feels like I had splashed some water on my face. I love the smell of this sleeping mask too. As like  the name of the mask, it has this ocean aquatic smell to it. The smell gives off a very calming effect.

My Review:
Not being a avid fan of using sunscreen due to the oiliness and stickiness that comes with it after some time, which at the same time worsen my sensitive skin and also with the excuse that I usually go out before the sun gets too hot and back home after dark, my skin complexion was not as good as before. Stubborn dark spots decorated my face.

My Review:
I love the high SPF and PA protection against the sun harmful UV rays in Neutrogena Clinical Fine Fairness Multi-Protect UV Fluid SPF50+ PA+++. Huge huge protection against the hot sun. The fluid is purple in colour, with a tinge of light fragrance. It does not feel sticky. Actually, it feels almost to nothing after applying.

My Review:
I am afraid whenever beauticians or over the counter's sales recommend me cream type beauty products for improving my skin condition. My Review 

Tanaka White 4X Serum has this light flowery/nature fragrance to it, that I like alot. The fragrance is not overpowering, and the smell gives off a relaxing feel. Upon application, my face feels very much hydrated and cooling. The cooling effect is even more obvious with the hot weather these days.

Double Whitening Day Cream has this cool and hydrating feel when applying on the face. The cream smells like a natural powder, with the herbal extracts it contains. It does not feel oily only hydrating.

After one week, my face is visibly whiter, in terms of the dark spots. The dark spots have faded to a lighter shade. I am sure with consistent use, the other persistent dark spots will go away all together. (Pardon my darker skin tone. I got a little tanned during my short holiday)

The only down side is that I am not too use how to use the Tanaka White 4X Serum, as in its bottle packaging. There is an area to press, which I assumed is to suck in the serum into the tube inside the bottle, and then to release the serum onto my finger for application. It does work once or twice, but most of the time it does not. Or maybe I had assumed wrongly?

I chose the unscented MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask to try, since it is the most neutral eye mask, with no scent. I had been feeling really tired recently and my eyes look everything tired.

Upon opening the eye mask packaging, the eye mask inside is lavender dotted colored. Looks a little too feminine though. The mask is soft to touch, and the center area of each eye gets warmer and warmer to 40℃ as time goes by (I was busy with photos).

The interior of the mask where the eyes will enjoy the comfort of the steaming eye mask. All I have to do is hook the mask over my ears, lie down, and enjoy.

The mask gradually increases temperature to a comfortable and soothing temperature. The comfortable and soothing temperature kinda makes me sleepy and relaxes my eyes and even my mind. Time flew past when I am doing nothing but just relaxing and resting my eyes.

After 10 minutes, the eyes area is moist with the steam from the eye mask (as illustrated in the video).

My Review on Curél Sebum Care range

Two full pumps from the Curél Sebum Care Foaming Wash and applied it directly on my wet face. I like the texture of the foaming wash. The foam feels as if it's really washing off the dirt and oil while massaging my face with it. After washing off the foam with water, I can feel the matte texture of my face.

Next is to apply the Curél Sebum Care Lotion after drying off. Pumped about two pumps of the lotion and patted on my face. It is a clear, transparent liquid. It feels lightweight upon application, hence the clean feel from the wash is still there.

Lastly, I applied the Curél Sebum Care Moisture Gel. The gel is milky coloured. The gel immediately hydrated my face, giving my face the moisture it needs for the rest of the day.

My first application was done last night. And to my amazement, when I woke up this morning, my face still feels matte and my face was not oily at all. I like how my face feels this morning.

Let me try this for another 13 days to get the effect of the Curél Sebum Care range.

After trying out so many kinds/brands of basic face care (wash, toner, moisturiser), I feel that the Curél Sebum Care range is very suitable for my skin type. This range of products had greatly improved my oily yet dry complexion that has been going on for a while, that has caused me frequent outbreaks and blocked pores. I like how I wake up to a non oily face, and after a day out, my face does not feel like I have just came out of some oily cook house.
