Crystal Jade Jiang Nan

Crystal Jade Jiang Nan, quite a new place in Vivocity Level One, located opposite JPot. Previously this space was some burger restaurant. Pardon my vague memory. Haha..

It was quite a wait for a table for at least 15minutes. Dining on a Friday night in Vivo City, so a queue is inevitable. The restaurant was quite spacious too. There are many big tables, so those in big groups can choose to eat here. Their menu is quite extensive too. There's a lot to choose from, and we took quite a while.

The main pull for dining there was the colourful Xiao Long Baos, all different colours for the eight flavours. We didn't get the preset of  8+1  Xiao Long Bao as there's a beef flavoured one. None of us eat beef. So we choose our own. There's the original flavour, shrimp, spicy chicken, vegetable, black truffle and foie gras. There's also cheese and the beef that we didn't order.

The shrimp in the wanton taste very fresh and juicy. We saw that we can choose our noodle type, so we chose the triangle noodles. It looks special. But maybe we should have just opt for the normal noodles. I find it too thick. It felt like I was eating alot of flour.

Zha Jiang Mian. To me, it was pretty spicy, but to GF, it was acceptable. I quite like the taste. The sauce was thick and not diluted. Very tasty.

At the end of the meal, we were both very full. Initially we wanted to order only one bowl of noodles, but the waiter said that our order won't be enough for us and if we were to place order a second time, our food won't come so quickly. In the end, the additional bowl of noodles was too much. And we didn't managed to order the dessert that we wanted, as we were too full~ *sad*
