Read: Baby Milestones That Make Moms Crazy

OMG this is sooo true.
http://www.whattoexpect.com/baby-milestones-that-make-moms-crazy.aspx

  • Baby food? Blech!
But she kinda hates all types food now. Sighs... Not sure how to go about doing this now. A little out of options. I made baby food babier, I made not so baby food, I gave her food to eat by herself, I changed types of food... I either get a tightly shut mouth, a screaming and crying baby, or food thrown on the floor instead of going near her mouth.
  • Look at me stand!
She just LOVE the dangerous places to attempt her muscle building. Gosh. I have to keep my eyes AND arms glued to her. Then she keep flipping to reach for the rails to stand up, while in her sleep. Not complaining as much as the food. LOL.
  • You strangers are scary!
Still not that bad, but she doesn't let me put her to play by herself for long. The velcro got stickier. 5 minutes in the playpen or highchair, she wants out. And she means it. With screaming and hot tears pouring out. Then the moment I pick her up... Silence. Gosh.

3 Months 18 Days

Baby is 3 months 18 day old today. Her weight gain is slowly down. Still gaining, but not as turbo speed as the past three months. She is eating well and I am glad to be recovered from the infection though my supply is not as much as before I got sick.

Reading though my mail and find it true from this read (http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-3-month-old-week-3_1495329.bc). I'm sorry to my friends, especially when I feel I need to be there by your side when incidents happen. I no longer am able to meet up as adhoc as I was previously. And I have to be home when it's her bedtime. Her nap times are important too, else she will be one cranky baby for the rest of the day.
Your life: Changing friendships
Having a new baby brings changes in your relationships with everyone — including your friends. Sometimes old friends who have no children are as delighted by your baby as you are, and aside from a few accommodations to your schedule, things continue as they once did. But others may not be as excited about your new phase of life. Some may be envious, others bored, and still others may simply have no interest in children. You can't blame your friends entirely. You're changing, too. Interests you once shared with certain people — skydiving, nightclubbing, shopping for shoes till you dropped — may no longer mesh with your lifestyle.
Although you can't expect everything to stay exactly the same, it helps to strive for a balance between your old way of being together and your new situation. Your friend can't expect you to abandon all thoughts of your baby, and you can't expect her to want to talk only about motherhood. Look for common ground in your activities and time together. It's great if you can sometimes go out to lunch, just the two of you, and other times have her come to your house to visit with the baby, for example.
You may drift apart from some pals, but at the same time, your baby will bring you into the orbit of new friends. Through playgroups, mom support networks, and chance encounters, you and your partner will meet other new parents with whom you have a lot in common.

Recently some of my friends babies contracted HFMD. It is a truly scary virus. Babies suffer so much from the pain it brought. Parents suffer when they see how much pain their babies are going through yet they cannot do much to help their babies. I feel their (babies and parents) pain when their situations were shared. For me, I am willing to be the one going through the pain and not my baby.

Dear baby, please be safe, strong and healthy. Mummy loves you.

Most Popular Bloggers in Singapore 2013

Wow.. I'm honored. My blog ranked me as one of the "Most Popular Bloggers in Singapore 2013", ranking 30. A list of 36 local blogs was compiled by Bryan Choo on http://www.thesmartlocal.com/. It's my first time getting any "award" for my blog. The ranking in the article is based on the 17th August 2013's ranking. thedaintycandy.blogspot.sg is ranked 613,210 in the Alexa World Ranking. Cool! World Ranking!
This article will contain a list of the 36 most popular blogs in Singapore. Choosing the "Best Blog in Singapore" is a very subjective thing and perhaps 'best' is not the perfect word for it. To be completely transparent this ranking is actually determined solely by Alexa traffic numbers.

I am flattered by the compliments from the author. Truly. One point to note on why most of my posts are about food; the hubby likes to eat, and he tries to bring me to different places to eat so that I can blog about them. Maybe if I travel more often, my blog will be more like a travel blog? *hint hint* :P

Curious about my friends' blog ranking and their ranking is wayyyyy better than mine. haha... I will have to buck up by ALOT.
Curious to see how much traffic you get compared to the rest of the world? Simply go to Alexa and enter your blog address. A rank under 3,000,000 is generally good for a blogger, remember, this ranking is pitting you against all the websites in the world and there are billions of them! A rank under 1,500,000 is very good and a rank under 500,000 probably means you're a strong influencer and should leave a comment here so i can add you to the list. :)

Life isn't fair

Yep. I'm back to reading that book. Again. "Which?" might be the question you would ask. It's none other than the four book series by Stephenie Meyer. I love this novel series, and my favourite is the last book, Breaking Dawn. This time, I am starting out with Book One, Twilight.

And this statement, in the earlier chapter of the book, by Bella to Edward, screamed in my face this morning... "Hasn't anyone ever told you? Life isn't fair."

There are so many unfair things happening to everyone of us everywhere across the globe, with each of us having a different definition for the word "fair". So what is being "fair" in your own definition?

Defining "Fair" on Google, these two are the more appropriate definitions to the topic
  1. In accordance with the rules or standards; legitimate
    • the group has achieved fair and equal representation for all its members
  2. Just or appropriate in the circumstances
    • to be fair, this subject poses special problems

Life isn't fair....
One is not able to earn as much as he desire. Life isn't fair.
One is not able to get the toy his friend has. Life isn't fair.
One is not able to get the recognition he desire. Life isn't fair.
One's boyfriend does not buy the branded bag she wants. Life isn't fair.
One grows up in a violent environment. Life isn't fair.
One is abused physically and mentally. Life isn't fair.
One works real hard and yet still is unable to provide a roof for his family. Life isn't fair.
One only wants the basic means to fill his stomach and yet unable to do so. Life isn't fair.

There is no "correct" measurement to define fairness in life. The unfairness in someone's life may be nothing to another. Comparing one's needs and wants with friends' or even strangers' is really a silly thing as everyone leads our own lives differently, thus everyone gets different results in their life. When one starts to make comparison and brooding over what others have and what he doesn't have, it will only lead to unhappiness.

Live life happily. Stay positive. Unfairness happens to everyone, everywhere. I am sure we are all living in a much more "fair" life than others in some ways or another. Learn to be satisfied and cherish the "fair" things that are already in your life.
