Cream color bear hooded towel

Another overdued project. Materials bought looooong ago but never got to work on it as I kept thinking how to go about doing it. In the end, just did it freehand. Lol. No pattern, no measurement, just eye argaration.

Cream color bear hooded towel. For use at beach, pool, water park... Water play lol. Stingy mammy don't want to pay over $10 for a design she doesn't like when she can make one with $4.

Hand sewn the parts together. The sewing machine kept "eating" the towel. Made me very pekchek, gave up and sew by hand. Lol. Overall not that bad, but the hood too big.

Josie tried it on for me without much fuss. Yay.

Tula hoodie - Pink bear

Her new Tula carrier hood. A pink bear.

I don't have the buttons for Tula hood, so I had "flaps" to button it in place at the drool pad area.

No tutorial, no pattern. Just argaration. Lol. Took me a month+, with lots of breaks in between lol.

Crochet - Baby Tiara

Some last minute craft since 2 days ago and redo ing at least 4 times, using 3 different youtube tutorials. Finally something that looks presentable is done. Haha.. I got pretty confused from the first two.

I thought of making a baby tiara for baby Leticia as a gift for her full month baby shower. Hope it fits.

Here's the youtube tutorial

The Flintstones family outfit

The OMG (October Mummies Group) 2014 had organised a Onederful birthday party for our LOs on 8th November. And the theme was cartoon.

I got a little too excited and decided to dress baby as Pebbles Flintstone and we to dress up together with her too.

All handmade except cheating with the white dress (bought for $8) for myself. Wilma's necklace is made with felt and stuffed.

Pebbles's bone hair tie is made with felt, stuffed then sewn to a hair rubber band. Top sewn with green fabric then layered with black cloth for the dots. Diaper cover sewn with cyan fabric.

Fred's long top sewn with orange fabric then layered with black cloth for the dots. The tie is sewn with the same blue fabric as Pebbles' diaper cover.

Not too bad an attempt but Pebbles top need to be a little bigger.

Thanks hubby for being so sporty.

Amigurumi - Bear

My second attempt in amigurumi. Made a bear. Looks good, though he looks alittle devilish. Haha. Took me four retries on the head. Counting is very important.

Amigurumi - Rabbit

My first attempt at making an amigurumi. This interest (maybe shortlive) is sparked by gf xy. She was interested in making thus, and we were at her place on Saturday trying out. I left with only the head done. Spent all Sunday to fix up the rest. I'm so glad that hubby is around. He helped take care of darling while I play with my stuff.

This was 50% done... It looks like a pink pikachu. Lol.

Here's the youtube video we learned from. http://youtu.be/tvmCvhHC47Q

Slip knot tulle skirt

Following the other two handmade wear, here's my third piece. Slip knot tulle skirtin pink and white.

I had intended to make a yellow tulle skirt for her birthday party, but the yellow tulle is beige instead. Very... Sian...

Looks good, but my little model is pretty destructive. I hope it will survive.

Facebook Covers

I have been doing quite a number of facebook covers for my friends and myself. It's quite fun, but also challenging, as to what words to put in, what topic to present, what kind of feelings you wish to bring across.

When designing Facebook covers, I will always make sure that my design fits in both pc browser and mobile app/browser. Elements placed outside the mobile app/browser width will be cut off. So always remember to position the key element in the middle.

Here's a diagram showing the dimensions and positioning. The area in the center that is outlined by dotted lines, is the area to put your key elements in the cover photo. Do take note of the hole at the left side, as that is the location of the display picture in mobile app/browser.

The positioning seems straightforward? Try it yourself. Here the dimension to save your final file.
- 851px x 315px

Here are a few Facebook covers that I did.

Notion Age Chinese New Year theme
Adaption of the Chinese New Year Card that I've designed for my employer's company.
