Milestone: First sentence

WJosie pulled out her kitty bib while we were having dinner outside. She's not done with her food, so I helped her wear it back.

Mammy: (absent mindedly being sarcastic about whatever topic the papa is talking about while helping her with the bib)

Josie: Mama zye zye.

Mammy: (continue being sarcastic about whatever topic the papa is talking about while scooping some rice on her spoon)

Josie: Mama zye zye.

Mammy: (realisation hits)

Josie: Mama zye zye. Zye zye mama. Zye zye mama.

Mammy: Omg! 不客气!不客气! Omg! (to the papa) Did u hear that?!!

Josie: Mama zye zye. Zye zye mama. Zye zye mama. (laughs and cover her mouth)

Mammy: (got emotional) 不客气 (felt so loved)

Josie just form her first sentence all by herself without any prompting. She was saying mama thank you (谢谢). Omg. I was soooo touched. So 感动!

Photo taken pre dinner, before wearing her kitty bib.

At least that was what I think she said at the point of time cos when I asked the papa later, he doesn't seem sure (heartbreak).

Rabbit and bird

Two new animals to the list of words.

Here's rabbit "bit" with her very first word, dog.

And bird "bod". She knew this for a while, but I couldn't really catch her pronounciation. She kept quiet when I asked her to repeat. Lol.

Word of the day - Star and Milk

16 months 13days

Yesterday's morning, after her shower, I dressed her in this little Star romper and taught her the word "star". She caught on pretty quickly. Here's a instavid of her saying star. She pronounced it without the s.

That evening, during grocery shopping, the hubby taught her to say milk when we at the milk aisle. She followed with a "mok". Haha. Here's an instavid of her just now before going to sleep.

Great progress. "tar~ mok~"

Word of the day - Cat

Josie recognised Hello Kitty from her bib. Or at least when I ask her where's Hello Kitty, she points to her bib. Our usual Q&A during mealtime. Where the nose, ear, table, clock, fan, chair, head, toes, blah...

Today she somehow managed a sound near cat. Kat maybe? Still far from basic understanding by anyone. But a good start~

Photo while we had lunch after gym. She's having bread for lunch. This girl, she loves bread and biscuits... I really must work harder in expanding her food varieties. But she must be in an eating mood first. I'm soooo dejected in this topic T__T

New words

Josie learnt a new word yesterday: bubbles

The teachers were blowing bubbles for the swing play, and somehow, she picked it up. Cool.

Then... These few days, she started perfecting her flying kiss with sound effect "ah makk". Heh. Finally. At 16 months. It took her so long to do the flying kiss. And now it's with a muacks.

Then... Today she was looking up at the kitchen table top and saying "cake". There were the water jugs and Latte's biscuits. I didn't know what she was saying until teabreak time. She meant biscuits, "-cuits" without the "bi-".

It will be such a wonderful day with all these new words but I was totally drained out. Her cryings for nothing. Haven't start to eat, scream and cry. Calmed down and continued eating, eat halfway scream and cry again. Night feeds increased with midnight wakings that lasted 2 hours and yet waking up so early in the morning. Before every nap or sleep, screams and cries. Crying for milk yet rejecting to drink milk.

Sigh. Can make up your mind? Mammy very tired and bad mood with your crankiness. Don't always cry and scream like kenna tortured please. Mammy is very sad when you do that especially with all the love I showered you with. I already forsee that I will have depression when you reach your rebellious teen stage, if I don't break down before that...

Vocabulary in 2015

At the end of 2015, at 14 months 21 days, here's the list of words she can say.

- Baby
- Bag
- Bear
- Bird
- Dog
- Duck
- Papa
- Mama
- Meimei
- Mian bao (bread in chinese)
- Mum mum (eat)
- No
- No more
- Na (give in chinese)

Sometimes she said these words without saying it as it's meaning though.

No no

Recently baby likes to shake her finger and say "no no". Sometimes it's just too cute. Sometimes it's just fustrating, especially when getting her to eat or sleep. Argh. She's starting to argue back. Where's my little baby??

Yes and No

Yesterday Josie said Yes to milk before her milk session.

Today Josie said No to milk after her milk session.

Baby really knows what is Yes and No at 13 months 12 days old. (After many times of confirmation)

Baby says "Bear"

11 months 5 days

Baby repeated "Bear" after me when she was playing with my Pooh Bear soft toy. Aww.. and she said it with such a sweet voice. My little darling. Mammy heart melts.

Haha baby's at her throwing everything out stage. Poor Poohbear. Poor Nila.
