First kiss

After so many months of teaching and demonstrating, the baby finally learnt to kiss on our cheeks. Not the kind that's the full lips smack muacks. But she didn't turn away when asked for a kiss, and lips on cheek with a "muaack" sound. 

The daddy got the first kiss without hesitation. Mine was after several persuasion resulting from her "No". 

Happy mammy finally got her kiss. 

Bao bao and hugs

Word of the day. Bao bao. 

She knows how to say "bao bao", which means carry 抱抱 in mandarin yesterday, but "perfected" it today. Lol. Sounded more obvious. 

The second event made me so touched and emotional. 

I was trying to make her sleep for the night. But she got whiney. So, I copied her and made crying sound while I rubbed my eyes. She got fascinated and stopped whining. Pried my hands away and looked at me with her big, round eyes. I continued to make crying sound, then.... She hugged me. 

Awwwwww.... So sweet. She hugged then looked at me, repeating thrice before I stopped "crying". Lol. 

Gosh. My little baby. She's so sweet.

Anyway, it's so difficult to take wefie with her nowadays. Keep moving and don't want to take with me. Lol. Maybe she don't like to be photobombed by me haha

No no

Recently baby likes to shake her finger and say "no no". Sometimes it's just too cute. Sometimes it's just fustrating, especially when getting her to eat or sleep. Argh. She's starting to argue back. Where's my little baby??

Yes and No

Yesterday Josie said Yes to milk before her milk session. 

Today Josie said No to milk after her milk session. 

Baby really knows what is Yes and No at 13 months 12 days old. (After many times of confirmation)

Teeth #8, 9, 10

No wonder baby has been so fussy for the past few (many) days. Teeth #8,9,10 are showing signs of emerging. Two on the top of either side and bottom right, next to teeth #7. Hmm bottom is lop sided. 

Feel better soon darling. Mammy can only just give u milk milk to help u soothe the pain. Jiayou!

Standing without support

Baby walking roaming around at the sofa then she stood by herself, hands away from the sofa. Usually she only stood for 2 seconds before flopping down on the floor.

Today she stood there till I asked her to come to me, hoping she will attempt to walk over. But she sat down and crawled to me. Darling! New milestone!

Update - While I took the photo, she took two unsteady baby steps to her ride without support! Great job! Attempted again to get a video but she sat down to crawl over instead. 

Pinching nose

Haha baby just pinched her nose. Is that considered a new milestone? Haha adorable

Self feed with a preloaded spoon

11 months 28 days

Today attempted to let baby self feed with a spoon. It's not the first time. But it's the first time she managed with accuracy and first time I allow her to scoop from the bowl. Scooping wasn't successful. Still, I'm a happy mama. 

7th tooth

11 months 19 days

Today I spotted baby's 7th tooth (her bottom left) while bathing her. The reason why she has been "eating" her thumb lately. Haha slow mammy.

She's drooling again, so I guess tooth #8 is coming soon. 

Teeth #5 and #6

11 months 7 days

I saw two white dots at the top gum on either side of her front teeth. Hello teeth #5 and #6. Darling kept drooling (very wet lips) the past few weeks and biting her thumb. Teething is painful. 

Passing things

11 months 5 days 

Baby learns to pass things to me and accepts when I pass it back to her. With her favourite bathing balls and duck.

Baby says "Bear"

11 months 5 days

Baby repeated "Bear" after me when she was playing with my Pooh Bear soft toy. Aww.. and she said it with such a sweet voice. My little darling. Mammy heart melts.

Haha baby's at her throwing everything out stage. Poor Poohbear. Poor Nila.

• Baby food? Blech!
  But she kinda hates all types food now. Sighs... Not sure how to go about doing this now. A little out of options. I made baby food babier, I made not so baby food, I gave her food to eat by herself, I changed types of food... I either get a tightly shut mouth, a screaming and crying baby, or food thrown on the floor instead of going near her mouth.
• Look at me stand!
  She just LOVE the dangerous places to attempt her muscle building. Gosh. I have to keep my eyes AND arms glued to her. Then she keep flipping to reach for the rails to stand up, while in her sleep. Not complaining as much as the food. LOL.
• You strangers are scary!
  Still not that bad, but she doesn't let me put her to play by herself for long. The velcro got stickier. 5 minutes in the playpen or highchair, she wants out. And she means it. With screaming and hot tears pouring out. Then the moment I pick her up... Silence. Gosh. 

Baby sits up by herself

9 months 11 days

I was on the phone (on speaker) with my Dad, while baby rolls around on the bed, when suddenly she got from lying down to be sitting up. I was like.. "She JUST SAT UP" LOL.

Baby actually did sit up by herself once before this. Just once. And it's in the middle of the night when she wakes for milk. I was shocked. Next morning I ask hubby if I dreamt it all up. Hahah..

Aiyo... See her chubbiness. Her tummy. My baby. 

Fourth tooth

8 months 28 days

I can see her fourth tooth. Her upper left tooth is showing. Small white patch on the gum. 

Crawling

8 months 26 days 

Baby is gearing up to crawl. She moves one, two steps, before rolling over to her back. She still finds rolling much faster. Haha.

Baby oh baby. You are growing up so quickly. 

Teething pains

8 months 24 days

We were in Batam having our weekend holidays. Baby was having her teething pain. She keep hitting her upper lip area with her palm and kept looking for things to bite. Our thumb, finger, mobile phone, anything...

My poor baby. Mammy heartache to see you in pain and can't do anything. 

Third tooth

8 months 22 days

I think... That is her third tooth. 

She has been drooling, thumb eating, biting (me), the past few days. Waking up pretty frequently at night. Poor baby. The gums must be itchy/ painful. 

Standing with support

8 months 17 days

Baby stood up with support in her cot from sitting position (I left her seated in the cot). Maybe she gotten her strength and inspiration from yesterday's playdate. Haha playdates are good.. 

And finally she pooped. Today is the 6th day from last poop. We massaged her everyday, hoping she will poop. But nothing. Yesterday we cannot tahan, hubb bought probiotics and I requested for papaya. She had papaya after dinner (baby pasta stars) and the probiotic this morning. A huge huge relief....
