Movie : Finding Dory

We went for a morning movie Finding Dory at 10am today. And there were only 4 groups of people in the cinema. Shiok.

Josie sat through 75% of the movie, before getting bored and wandered alittle a few seats away from us.

Nice show. But it got alittle boring and draggy just about the time Josie got bored. Lol. Maybe she felt the same too huh.

Happy Saturday!

Good Friday - Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

Today is a Public Holiday! A Good Friday. I love public holidays as it means the hubby is spending the day with us.

Josie woke up pretty early today. A little before 7am. But I was too tired, hence I self snoozed alittle until she went to karjiao the daddy to wake up. Haha.. Then I proposed that we go to the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, that is opened to public today from 9am to 6pm. (Saw the news a few days ago).

The next time it opened its doors is on Labour Day, 1st May 2016

Here's our photo journal with some captions.

Josie was not keen to sit on the railway track for photos.

She either looked down and checking out the stones or she looked stressed out.

The place is filled with people. But we're glad we went in the morning. I saw friends' posts about their visit that was even more crowded.

"Modelling" by the station. Have to remember not to slouch so much.

Enjoying herself.

It's a joy to see her explore and enjoy herself.

Following our tour guide.

Josie got tired pretty quickly. Also because she woke up real early. Haha..

Enjoyed myself today. Something different to do as a family. Sadly Latte can't join us. I'm sure he'll like the place too.

Sun, sand, sea ... and rain

Sunday. The weather looked great, hence the hubby changed our plans from indoor to outdoor. Yesterday we were stuck at home due to the rain in the evening as we had plans for some outdoor activities for the evening.

Hubby brought us to the beach. It's Josie's and Latte's first time to the beach. We had been wanting to go there at least 4 months ago, but there always had been circumstances like, plans, rain, too sunny, blah...

It was a pretty rushed trip to and fro. To, cos it was pretty last minute. Fro, cos the sky started to turn dark.

It was real sunny when we reached. Overall, a fun and tiring trip. Josie is scared to stand on the sand, but loves the sea water and water play nearby. Latte loves the sand, but is scared of the sea. Haha. Opposites.

The weird part was, it rained and stopped 4-5 times when we were at home within 2 hours. Heavy rain, then sunny weather. Real weird.

Singapore Zoo

It's the Hubby's company's family day today. And it's held at the Singapore Zoo. Josie's second time at the zoo this year.

Still the same, Josie doesn't have much interest in the animals. Guess she doesn't know what to see. And the koalas are still sleepy...

We went for three shows. First show, she was a little keen as the sea lion moves in and out of the water in huge movements.

The second show, she was sleepy and got fussy. We didn't stay through the show. We left after the Japanese Spitz performed.

Third show, Josie slept away half the show. But doesn't know what's going on when she woke up. We were seated pretty far away.

She wore a pink flamingo top for this zoo visit, and I insisted that she take a photo with the real pink flamingoes. Haha.

Before leaving the zoo, we went into the souvenir shop and borrowed some props for some photos :P

Great day spent with my loved ones. Happy me.

Happy Birthday to ME

Happy Birthday to me! No need for secrets. It's my thirty first birthday. For these two years, I was not as stressed out as the previous years, when I was 28, 29 years young. Back then, I was like, "OMG, I'm gonna be 30 soon. OMG." But when I really hit 30, I'm like... "Ok. 30 years young, so... It's just another day, just another year. Fact: I'm getting younger each year."

For today, hubby was busy for work, hence I took baby to the Zoo and River Safari since we both enter free. Free entry for birthday person and children below 3 years old. My mom and dad went together with us.

Hello Zoo. Hello River Safari.

Though baby doesn't know what is happening, what to see, where to look, I had fun. Posing with a pony.

The main highlights of the Zoo, the Koalas, were all asleep when we were there. There were so many visitors, and chatters, they just continued to sleep on. Lol.

We joined in the other visitors with a wefie with the koala.

The main highlights of River Safari, the Pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia, were lazing around. I think it was Jia Jia, who POOP in front of us. Hahahaha.... We (including the other visitors) were moving along with her when she climbed up the slope. We thought she was gonna play or something, end up.... POOP. Hahaha...

Baby meets Panda.

On top of entering free for the birthday person, I am entitled a 10% discount on designated F&B outlets and retail stores. There's also free ice cream at Ah Meng restaurant in the zoo and free ice cream at the Mama Panda Kitchen. Hee.. Happy me. I feel very VIP-ish with the discounts and freebies. Here's more information on Birthday priviledges on the Zoo and River Safari

Free ice cream at Ah Meng's.

Free paddle pop icecream at Mama Panda Kitchen.

We went back around 4pm. It took us about 6 hours to walk finish both parks.

Big thanks to my parents who accompanied me for the day and taking care of baby.

Dinner was with the hubby at Morganfield's at The Star Vista. We ordered too much. Gosh.. There's the Pop Corn Pork, full slab of Hickory BBQ Spare Ribs for the savoury and the Chocolate Lava Cake and Classic Apple Pie for the sweets. TOO MUCH. (I shall blog more about Morganfield's in another post.)

We were too full for desserts. What a waste. And the portion is not small. Lol.

Attempted to backcarry baby at desserts but it only pacified her a little.

Happy Lunar New Year

Today is already day 6 of the Lunar New Year. My bad. I'm late. I wish everyone a prosperous Lunar New Year. Huat ah~

This year's Lunar New Year is different from all the previous Chinese New Year. This year we have a LO with us. Man... I was worried about her sleep and feeding. End up, the feeds were ok. Just the sleep. She was too excited with all the crowd and chatterings.

Eve of CNY
Lunch's reunion was at home with the hubby's immediate family. There's braised duck, chicken, pork, soup, braised mushroom... Too much food. Some cooked, some bought. And most of the time, I was with LO, making her sleep. Ah..

Reunion dinner was at my parents'. We brought Latte over with us too. My parents cooked a very scrumptious meal. Desserts was icecream. Burps...

Haha.. LO wants to taste her angpow.

Day 1
Happy lunar new year! New schedule this year. Instead of going to the hub's grandmother's place in the morning, we headed to the hub's uncle's place for lunch. Lots to eat. And they had this cute Angry Bird fishcake. Haha..

Next was to my grandmother's place. Alamak. Second round of lunch. Ate alot. Again. LO was kinda the centre of attention. So was her cousin, JY. She was running all around. I guess next year is LO's turn.

Wefie with my sister. Squish is sleeping in the carrier.

Dinner at home with leftovers from Eve. A quiet, we-time. I'm grateful for it. There's just too much excitement for LO.

Day 2
We went to hub's grandmother's place for visiting. Yup, eat again. My nephews were busy running around and making everyone busy. Haha.. Kids..

Then we went home to have dinner with my family. They lugged the heavy wonder pot from home, with very 入味 food. While they rested and played with LO, Hub and I took Latte to the park. He's a happy boy. Tired (from running) and happy.

Day 3
It was a slower paced day compared to the previous days as we have the entire afternoon to ourselves. Tried to make LO sleep more and the hubs was busy doing his assignment.

We then headed to friend R's place for steamboat. Left pretty early as we have a second round of dinner at my Uncle's place.

Ahh ended quite late and missed LO's bedtime. We had a hard time making her sleep. Sigh... My poor girl.

Day 4
Visiting at Hub's godpapa's place. Simple yet yummy lunch.

Then we brought Latte for his annual vaccination. He was terrified. And he's the most jittery one among the other pets when waiting for his turn.

On the whole, Latte is good and the vet praised Latte on his clean teeth.

Day 5
I spent the entire day at home. Gf Ying asked me out for lunch as she's on leave, but I declined. This whole week's weekdays will be spent at home. LO has already has her fill of fun and (over)excitement on the eve and first 4 days of the lunar new year. She needs her sleep and her routine.

Day 6
Stay home day 2. Daddy came over to play with LO with my lunch. Haha.. I'm a slacker with my own lunch as time away from LO is very very little. Fire over the stove is too dangerous with such short amount of time.

Legoland Malaysia

This post has been delayed for quite some time due to my procastination. We went Legoland Malaysia in end May, and it's already early July now.

Legoland Malaysia is a family oriented theme park, mainly for families with children. I went with my family, and us children, the youngest is already 23 haha.. Therefore some of the rides were not suitable for us. Still, the weather was too hot for us to handle, so we did not really play all the rides.

We bought our tickets online 7 days in advance, to enjoy the 20% discount and also to save ourselves from the long ticketing counter queues. It's easy! All you have to do is just purchase the tickets from their website, print the tickets sent to your email, and bring the printed tickets and scan at the entrance for entry. Purchase your tickets online here: http://www.legoland.com.my/Ticket/. We bought the theme park with water park tickets.

We went the budget way of going to Legoland Malaysia. There were 5 of us. To take a cab there is a little not worth it. Hence we went to JB Sentral, the bus terminal next to the Malaysia Customs and wait for bus LM 1. It was only 8 plus in the morning.

Got to see this time table for the LM1 bus schedule. We missed the first bus, hence we waited for the 9am bus. We have to be alert to look out for the bus. We almost missed it again, as the bus was at the far right and blocked by the other buses.

It only costs RM 4.50 per person for the bus fare.

When we reached Legoland Malaysia, the place was croweded. The theme park is not yet opened. Everyone is crowding around the entrance, taking photos, and the queue at the ticket counter was horribly long. Just before the gates open, the staff and the dino mascot gave an opening dance.

There are lego figures all over the park. Cute! The joke for the last picture was, we have to build our own toilet bowls before using. Haha...

Off to the first ride. The Project X roller coaster. The most exciting part is when the car moves up in height and then come down at high speed from the height.

There are alot of these games stalls. But the men of the group feels that it's not worth it to try. Haha.. But we do see many hugging these soft toys or winnings around the park.

Next, we went up on the Observation Tower to see the park from top view. The place looks huge.. and hot.. haha..

Then we went for a 4D lego movie at Lego Studios. There are no shaking of chairs or such, but there are huge gust of wind, rain, snow to give the 4D effect. Cool.

We skipped this Dino Land ride. No one wants to get wet in this hot weather.

Took some other rides in between like the Lost Kingdom, a laser shooting ride to hunt for lost treasure, we went for this mild ride, the Legoland Express. A train that brings us one round around the park. The waiting time was long though.

After the ride, it's time to fill our tummies. We went to the Market Restaurant. Even though the place is crowded, but there are still empty tables around.

Love the interior. Above our heads are all the lego characters. All of them busy "preparing" our meals. The restaurant is very colourful too.

The food ordering style is quite easy, just take whatever you want to eat from the respective counters and proceed to payment.

The top two are the kids meals. All the meals comes with a cup of fruits and a drink, except for the Fish and Chips that comes with a soup and drink instead. Lunch was filling and it was not too bad.

Then it was a visit to the Lego Miniland. Using lego pieces to build the representation buildings, cultures from different countries.

Familiar?

We decided that we had enough of fun and sun, we took a break and went for some lego shopping.

We went for the second part of the Legoland Malaysia. It's water splashing time at the Waterpark. There are many different types of pools for different age and excitement in the Waterpark. My family went more for the exciting tall slides. Reminded me of the old fun times in Fantasy Island (If you still remember where that was haha...)

The ticketing counters looks empty at the end of the day.

Time to go home...

It was a fun day. Down side is the hot weather. Do remember to hydrate yourself frequently when you visit the park. I suppose the next time we go, would be when there are young children in the family and stay in the themed hotel (IMO, it's pretty expensive though the rooms are lego themed and they look cool and fun). If you plan to bring your family there for more than an occasional fun, perhaps at least 4 times a year, it is more advisable to buy the annual pass then getting the day pass each time you visit.
