Milestone: First sentence

WJosie pulled out her kitty bib while we were having dinner outside. She's not done with her food, so I helped her wear it back.

Mammy: (absent mindedly being sarcastic about whatever topic the papa is talking about while helping her with the bib)

Josie: Mama zye zye

Mammy: (continue being sarcastic about whatever topic the papa is talking about while scooping some rice on her spoon)

Josie: Mama zye zye.

Mammy: (realisation hits)

Josie: Mama zye zye. Zye zye mama. Zye zye mama.

Mammy: Omg! 不客气!不客气! Omg! (to the papa) Did u hear that?!!

Josie: Mama zye zye. Zye zye mama. Zye zye mama. (laughs and cover her mouth)

Mammy: (got emotional) 不客气 (felt so loved)

Josie just form her first sentence all by herself without any prompting. She was saying mama thank you (谢谢). Omg. I was soooo touched. So 感动!

Photo taken pre dinner, before wearing her kitty bib.

At least that was what I think she said at the point of time cos when I asked the papa later, he doesn't seem sure (heartbreak).

Josie's new earrings

It has been 6 months since Josie had her ears pierced. And we took her to get a pair of gold earrings. Reason, easier to clean and thinner, hence the ear holes will not droop.

But I prefer the first piercing pair. Prettier.

Walking the day

Today, I hit a milestone. Lol. My milestone not Josie's. We went out almost the whole day today. And she walked most of the time, without the use of carrier or pram. New achievement lol.

I did bring along the carrier but it had been strapped to my bag the whole day. I held her hand and walked from home to where we needed to go. Carrying her for a short while whenever needed by my little girl.

I am pretty reliant on my carriers ever since she was born whenever we go out. Even for those times we go out with my hubby or with a pram, I still bring along a carrier. I cannot imagine going out with any carriers. But it's good to see that she can and able to walk alongside me and we can cross hurdles (literally) together.

Jiayou!

Bao bao and hugs

Word of the day. Bao bao.

She knows how to say "bao bao", which means carry 抱抱 in mandarin yesterday, but "perfected" it today. Lol. Sounded more obvious.

The second event made me so touched and emotional.

I was trying to make her sleep for the night. But she got whiney. So, I copied her and made crying sound while I rubbed my eyes. She got fascinated and stopped whining. Pried my hands away and looked at me with her big, round eyes. I continued to make crying sound, then.... She hugged me.

Awwwwww.... So sweet. She hugged then looked at me, repeating thrice before I stopped "crying". Lol.

Gosh. My little baby. She's so sweet.

Anyway, it's so difficult to take wefie with her nowadays. Keep moving and don't want to take with me. Lol. Maybe she don't like to be photobombed by me haha

Fake snores

Today, when we sang the Good Night song or said the usual goodnight quote, Josie placed her head on the nearest surface, eyes wide open and made snoring sound. Hahaha amazed at the things kids learn. She's so adorable.

Have a great new year ahead! Happy 2016!

No no

Recently baby likes to shake her finger and say "no no". Sometimes it's just too cute. Sometimes it's just fustrating, especially when getting her to eat or sleep. Argh. She's starting to argue back. Where's my little baby??

Yes and No

Yesterday Josie said Yes to milk before her milk session.

Today Josie said No to milk after her milk session.

Baby really knows what is Yes and No at 13 months 12 days old. (After many times of confirmation)

Standing without support

Baby walking roaming around at the sofa then she stood by herself, hands away from the sofa. Usually she only stood for 2 seconds before flopping down on the floor.

Today she stood there till I asked her to come to me, hoping she will attempt to walk over. But she sat down and crawled to me. Darling! New milestone!

XOXO

Update - While I took the photo, she took two unsteady baby steps to her ride without support! Great job! Attempted again to get a video but she sat down to crawl over instead.

Passing things

11 months 5 days

Baby learns to pass things to me and accepts when I pass it back to her. With her favourite bathing balls and duck.

Baby says "Bear"

11 months 5 days

Baby repeated "Bear" after me when she was playing with my Pooh Bear soft toy. Aww.. and she said it with such a sweet voice. My little darling. Mammy heart melts.

Haha baby's at her throwing everything out stage. Poor Poohbear. Poor Nila.

Read: Baby Milestones That Make Moms Crazy

OMG this is sooo true.
http://www.whattoexpect.com/baby-milestones-that-make-moms-crazy.aspx

  • Baby food? Blech!
But she kinda hates all types food now. Sighs... Not sure how to go about doing this now. A little out of options. I made baby food babier, I made not so baby food, I gave her food to eat by herself, I changed types of food... I either get a tightly shut mouth, a screaming and crying baby, or food thrown on the floor instead of going near her mouth.
  • Look at me stand!
She just LOVE the dangerous places to attempt her muscle building. Gosh. I have to keep my eyes AND arms glued to her. Then she keep flipping to reach for the rails to stand up, while in her sleep. Not complaining as much as the food. LOL.
  • You strangers are scary!
Still not that bad, but she doesn't let me put her to play by herself for long. The velcro got stickier. 5 minutes in the playpen or highchair, she wants out. And she means it. With screaming and hot tears pouring out. Then the moment I pick her up... Silence. Gosh.

Baby sits up by herself

9 months 11 days

I was on the phone (on speaker) with my Dad, while baby rolls around on the bed, when suddenly she got from lying down to be sitting up. I was like.. "She JUST SAT UP" LOL.

Baby actually did sit up by herself once before this. Just once. And it's in the middle of the night when she wakes for milk. I was shocked. Next morning I ask hubby if I dreamt it all up. Hahah..

Aiyo... See her chubbiness. Her tummy. My baby.

Crawling

8 months 27 days

And... The baby crawls~

Unsteadily, but surely...

Crawling soon

8 months 26 days

Baby is gearing up to crawl. She moves one, two steps, before rolling over to her back. She still finds rolling much faster. Haha.

Baby oh baby. You are growing up so quickly.

Standing with support

8 months 17 days

Baby stood up with support in her cot from sitting position (I left her seated in the cot). Maybe she gotten her strength and inspiration from yesterday's playdate. Haha playdates are good..

And finally she pooped. Today is the 6th day from last poop. We massaged her everyday, hoping she will poop. But nothing. Yesterday we cannot tahan, hubb bought probiotics and I requested for papaya. She had papaya after dinner (baby pasta stars) and the probiotic this morning. A huge huge relief....

Clapping

8 months 13 days

I was playing with the baby when the hubbs came home. I placed her hands together and did some clapping. And then... She clapped on her own. After doing it herself, she looked at her hands. Haha. Like "what was that".

She only clapped twice and doesn't do it any more when I wanted to get some photos.

Waving with one hand

8 months 13 days

Today when we when grocery shopping, baby started waving using one hand. Waving at people walking by as I pushed her in the grocery trolley seat. Previously she waves with two hands. Haha she's so adorable.

Self feed puff

8 months 7 days

Baby successfully self fed herself a puff. We both think it's just a pure luck one off thing. But well, she did successfully put in and ate one today. Haha.

Waving with two hands

8 months 3 days

Baby starts to wave her hand. Not really a hello or bye kind of wave, but a whole arm wave. Haha.. But it's a start. Keep it up darling!

Pinching

7 months 28 days

Baby is pinching everywhere. My arms, my neck, my face, my tummy...

Everywhere. OUCH. It's the worst when she pinch my neck, as she ALWAYS pinch my neck when I carry her.

She's practicing her fine motor skill, which is excellent, but.. OUCH.. haha..
