Skating on ice

Even though I can't even skate properly, but I miss the times in there. Twice I think? It was fun. I remember feeling two extremes in there. Cold from the ice. Hot from falling and trying hard not to fall. Haha. I'm a noob but I miss playing this. 

Sitex 2013 : Our loot

Sitex 2013 was held at Singapore Expo for the from Thursday to Sunday. We were there on Saturday morning. We were 15 minutes early before they opened the exhibition doors. To my surprise, many people were already gathered outside the exhibition doors. I wonder what was the pull? 

Since we were early, we went to the other exhibition halls to check out other sales. 

The advantage of going to Sitex early is that the crowd is not as horrible as those later in the day. At least we can walk with our arms flapping by our sides and moving at our own speed. Crowded IT related fairs usually means walking at skin contact with people around you and at snail speed. 

Here's our loot from Sitex. 

A tripod that is on sale from Courts. $15, UP $45. My current tripod has a broken lever. 

Our main aim was to get a set of Xbox 360, a gift to ourselves for our 11th year anniversary. Our original intention was to get the Xbox 360 250GB + Kinect at $499, but the set had already been sold out. Disappointed. So we settled for the set of Xbox 360 4GB + Kinect at $399. Includes 2 wireless controllers, 2 games and a $20 gift card.

We had fun playing when we got home. I guess we need more games. 

Christmas Nail Art - cutepolish

It's the month of December and Christmas is coming. Is your December filled with gatherings with friends and family? Will there be lots of feasting and merry making? My weekends are certainly filled up.

There are crowds everywhere this season, getting their Christmas shopping done. While the shopping malls are filled with Christmas decorations, we should doll ourselves into the Christmas mood too. They are so cute. I am going to try to paint my nails after 22nd December to get ready for Christmas. Share with you guys if I am successful. First, time to shop for nail polish.

Thien Kee Steamboat Restaurant. Hainanese Chicken Rice

Our late chicken rice lunch at Thien Kee Steamboat Restaurant 黃金瑞記煖爐, at Golden Mile Tower, #B1-20, 6001 Beach Road. 

Hainanese Chicken @ $10. The waitress asked whether we wanted a half chicken ($16) or a $10 platter. Thinking that we should add on other side dishes, we opted for the platter. Nice but i miss the chicken rice stall opposite Golden Miles Tower. Oops. 

Fu Rong Egg Omelette @ $10. We ordered this without asking the price. Usually it costs around $6-$8. Hence we are a little shocked at the price. Nice, but there's nothing in the omelette that is worth the amount. 

Chicken kidney & liver @ $3. I don't really like eating chicken liver. The soft texture is not really my preference. 

The total bill came up to $27.90, includes 3 chicken rice and 2 drinks. We returned the wet tissues. Hee.. Save some money. 

One little hiccup. A strand of my hair landed on my rice and the waitress was serving the drinks. She highlighted to me that I have hair on my rice. And she won't put down the drinks until I acknowledge the hair and not complain to them about it. Haha but it is obviously my hair, why would I complain about it? Maybe they kenna before? Weird.
